Q4 2023: Tower Defense Games Surge on iOS in France

As the year wound down, the Tower Defense category on iOS in France saw varying performances among its leading games. Sensor Tower provides a deeper dive into the numbers that shaped the closing quarter of 2023 for these popular applications.

Rush Royale: Tower Defense TD by MY.GAMES B.V. saw its revenue peak at nearly $46K in the last week of October, followed by a notable rise to $45K as December concluded. Downloads for the game also surged, jumping from around 3K in late September to over 5K in the final week of December. Weekly active users reflected a slight decline from 25K to around 24K over the quarter.

Fight For America: Country War, from French publisher HOMA GAMES, displayed modest revenue figures, peaking at $410 in the first week of November. Downloads showed a mid-quarter spike, rising to over 3K in late October. Active users reached a high of over 9K in the same period, later settling at around 8K by year's end.

TAP4FUN's Kingdom Guard:Tower Defense TD experienced a revenue high of over $10K in late October, with a year-end rally to just over $9K. Downloads peaked at over 3.6K in the last week of December, while weekly active users more than doubled from the start of the quarter, reaching over 5K by December 25th.

PopCap's classic, Plants vs. Zombies™ 2, sustained a steady revenue stream, with a notable increase to $755 in the third week of November. Downloads saw a significant rise in late November, reaching over 2.6K. Active users showed a healthy increase as December commenced, climbing to over 15K.

Lastly, Bloons TD 6 NETFLIX, despite reporting no revenue for most of the quarter, showed growth in downloads, from roughly 750 in early October to over 1.2K by the year's end. Weekly active users also rose, ending the quarter at over 6.3K.
